The exact process True Story uses to tell your story depends on which of our story formats you choose. But regardless of the delivery format, every project we take on includes an interview phase, which is the key to delivering an engaging story.

Certificate

If you are offering a relative, friend or colleague an Audio CD, Book or DVD, we provide you with a beautifully designed gift certificate to give to them. There are not many gifts that get the reaction that these certificates do, so make sure you have a box of tissues to hand, it’s a very emotional experience.

Research

Although hard work, this is one of the most enjoyable parts of the story telling process. And it’s where we often enlist a little help from you. During research, we rediscover many forgotten fascinating facts. These facts are then put used during the interview process.

Interview stage

Using state-of-the-art digital recording equipment, one of our skilled interviewers will spend time questioning each of the main protagonists in your story. For a story about an organisation or company, it's whoever our client considers to be the important players, usually founders, senior office holders and key customers. For a personal history it's the main subject, their family, friends and colleagues. And, far from feeling like it's a chore, the people we interview actually enjoy themselves.

Design & post-production

Then we edit the interviews and, where appropriate, combine them with music, sound effects, narration, still photos, graphics, other visuals and navigation elements.

The finished story is delivered in the form of a book, audio CD or DVD (single or multiple copies).
